Wi-Fi struggled with Netflix. Be prepared for a long trek to the beach. It's a bit of a workout. Availability of the electric car charger remains an issue, possibly resulting in extra costs during your stay.

I had an awesome and satisfactory breakfast with a real musli and cakes, as example.

especially helpful and attentive staff who were always there to help. double room i stayed at was a nice size with a balcony. there were an electric kettle and fridges, appreciated it.

Breakfast delights to start the day

The breakfast buffet was a fantastic way to begin our mornings, brimming with options, including fresh eggs and a variety of warm dishes. The serene garden views from our room added to the overall tranquility of our stay, and we appreciated the excellent cleanliness and the consistent warmth of the friendly staff.

Quiet location close to main road through Povoa, 10/15 min walk to nearest beach and to town/resort centre. Good restaurants close to hotel. Ask for room overlooking the lovely garden at rear, all with balcony. Friendly and helpful staff. A genuine 3 star hotel that is well maintained and very comfortable. Other guests mostly Portuguese tourists but some business people as well. Good base for touring the area and its many attractions including Porto. Sol Povoa met our needs exactly but probably would not suit someone who wants to fall out of bed onto the beach and have all resort facilities immediately to hand.

Perfect location just outside the city. Beautiful garden view from my balcony. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of options, including some vegan dishes. My room was super clean and had everything I needed. Free parking was a bonus 😊

Except from a boring breakfast this is a nice hotel with a location who gives access to "everthing" within 15 min walk, we also liked the bike rental.

We liked this hotel. It was cosy, silent, well situated, if you have a car. We had well equipped room (lcd tv, conditioner, balcony, smoking allowed, fridge, wifi, coffee facilities), good free parking place, friendly and helpful recepcion staff, nice small garden.

poor breakfast, but it's no problem, when you have fridge and teepot :) Definitly we'd like to return this hotel again.

The Varzinn Hotel offers stylish rooms with ample electrical outlets, modern amenities, and a refreshing balcony overlooking the tranquil garden. Breakfast was varied, featuring both hot options and baked goods, yet the hotel's somewhat distant location from central Povoa might not be ideal for everyone.

It's a great place if you want to relax the last day before you get a plane in Porto. The personal was very friendly and the bed was superconfortable and clean!
